The family of Dr. Janet Lerner, pioneer preeminent researcher in the field of learning disabilities, has graciously awarded scholarship funds for parents of children with disabilities or an adult family member who has a learning disability who are in financial need. Educators and Members of the Learning Disabilities Association of Illinois can nominate parents or adults with learning disabilities if they believe the nominees are in financial need.
The scholarship may be used to pay annual membership fees and may also be used to cover the cost of attending any workshop/conference.
Individuals wishing to be considered for a membership scholarship or someone who wishes to nominate an individual will complete a membership application. The membership application can be submitted online using the form below or can be downloaded here and mailed to:
